Foundations: Building a Firm Faith
Confirmation for High and Junior High Students
September 16, 2007 – May 4, 2008

Foundations is a unique confirmation class, designed to help students build a solid core of faith that will support them throughout their lives. They will become equipped to fulfill God’s purpose for them in their generation.

The class will delve into such questions as:

• How can I know that there is one true God and that the Bible is his true Word? Is there one God or three? Will Jesus return in my lifetime?
• Are all other religions wrong?
• Is there a reason for my existence? If so, how can I find out the purpose for my life? What are my spiritual and natural gifts? How do I live to please God?
• Is there a conflict between religion and science?
• How can I be assured that I will go to heaven? What are heaven and hell really like? What is it like to die? Are demons and the devil real?
• What do Baptism and Communion really mean and how important are they? What is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?
• Is it possible to let go of my fears, bad habits and other things that I don’t like about myself?
• What is Godly entertainment? How do I choose the right friends? What about sex?
• How can I be a good steward of the money God enables me to earn?

Foundations will be held each Sunday morning from 10:30 to 12:00 noon in the Youth Room at Grace Church. We promise an exciting and eye-opening adventure.
